Went to LabCorp in Sparks after fast, found them permanently closed with a small note to find another location, which is about 10 miles away. Can't you people communicate? What an inconvenience.

Real pain. Only lab in this area my ins covers. Can't you at least take sign down so clients with disabilities don't trek all the way to the front door to see little card telling you to go somewhere else?

I attempted to call four times with a question. I left four voicemails, as they do not answer phones!

I finally went in and tried my luck. The technician argued with me about the blood draw location, as I am a tough draw.

She finally gave up even listening to me and passed me off to another technician who did listen and nailed it on the first try! I'm not a fan of this company!!!

Lab results unavailable to ordering provider.

Last week I went in to the local Labcorp lab for blood work ordered by my doctor. Today, when I saw the doctor, he said that he couldn't find my results.

This is a problem also with other patients of his who test at Labcorp. He doesn't have any issues with other labs. Apparently, the quality of patient data entry into Labcorp's computers is less than reliable. This compromises the quality of my healthcare.

I tried calling Labcorp, but nobody was available to take my call, and they did not respond to the message I left.

This problem has been reported by patients not just locally, but also coast to coast. If Labcorp cannot do their job properly, they should not be in business any more.

Three people stuck me 8 times in one visit December 7th, 2023

I went to the 1510 Central Ave Glendale Labcorp 12.6.23.

After Vera, Vicki, and Helan tried to get a vein, I had been jabbed 8 times. I have many bruises from my veins blowing up.

These ladies are incompetent and lack confidence in getting a small vein in an adult.

I am very disappointed and will change my insurance so I will not have to use labcorp for my medical needs in the future. There is only ONE phlebotomist at this location, or ANY labcorp location who can get my blood samples on the first and only stick. That person is Mirium. She was not in yesterday.

This is all so stressful and feels abusive.

Please see attached photos of some of my injuries.

I had made an appointment on line for the 1510 Central Ave Glendale location and had to wait longer with an appointment than I would have as a "walk in." I live in Toluca Lake and can never go to the Labcorp in Burbank because the incompetence in getting a vein is worse there so I drive to Glendale. Further, a woman in the Burbank office named Barbara was so horrific to me that I was in tears. Yesterday, I heard that the Burbank office had closed and Barbara is now at the Glendale office and is the person who checked me in. I was there over an hour and was stuck 8 times by 3 people before my blood could be drawn.

I am bruised to high heaven and I don't take blood thinners that would cause such bruising.

I don't take any medications in fact. There is NO excuse for the treatment I endured yesterday. NONE.

When it came to getting my blood samples, they were ALL Extremely incompetent and unprofessional. I do wonder if Barbara has something to do with my wait time and with the treatment I received.

While this thinking may seem paranoid, a thought like that should never be a thought in a patients mind. Being I have small veins, it is stressful enough to get a blood draw as it is. Also, when I am hospitalized, not one time has a phlebotomist been UNABLE to get a vein on a first and only stick. Labcorp has some of the most inadequately trained employees I have ever seen.

You need people who have experience working in an ER.

Quest is 100% better than Labcorp. I stopped going to Quest because my insurance changed. As I mentioned in my previous note.

I plan to change my insurance so I can go back to Quest, where they actually know what they are doing. I wanted this to work out, and I refuse to be abused one more time by the Labcorp staff.

Unsatisfactory Service

On Thursday, July 18, 2024, my husband and I both visited the Lab Corp facility on Gail Gardner Way in Prescott, Arizona. We checked in at the kiosk at 11:50 a.m. Two women at the front desk seemed to spend their time talking to each other or on the phone. It's possible that their phone conversations were business-related. They appeared to be oblivious to the patients in the waiting room.

After waiting for one hour and 35 minutes, I was called up to submit my paperwork for my blood draw at 12:25 p.m. After one hour and 40 minutes, my husband was called up to submit his paperwork for his blood draw at 12:30 p.m. The facility was continually filling with customers, with an average of 15 people waiting at all times. These women seemed in no hurry to assist any of us. The body language of the other people in the waiting room suggested that we weren't the only ones dissatisfied with their service. On average, they took 2-3 patients per half-hour back for blood draws.

By the time we had our blood draws, we'd been in the facility for 2 hours and 15 minutes. This was unsatisfactory. This wasn't the first time we experienced unsatisfactory service there, but this occasion was the worst.

Loc: 1600 N Grand Ave, Pueblo, CO

Original review Feb 02, 2024
It started with no return calls to at least three messages I had left. When I did visit the location, I returned home with the wrong containers for specimens.

Made me wait 45 minutes just to drop specimens off and, as I mentioned, there was a container missing... so I got to scoop *** from one container to a new one in their bathroom. Now, I received an email indicating my results were in, but the website has no record of them. On this site it states "If you need help correcting information in your Labcorp Patient account, contact us," with the link being the "contact us" part.

Click on there and get a "404 Not Found" message. Extremely frustrating.

Lost our test and charged us and our insurance anyway! I called several times and spoke with several people.

Some were very nice but when they told me my accounts would be on a 30 day hold, I later received a collection notice!

I shouldn't have to pay anything and my insurance should be reimbursed. What a joke

Labvcorp bad patient care

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

On Tuesday September 2023, I went to the Cigna location at 7236 S. Central Ave.

Phoenix, AZ 85042.

Upon arrival, I went to the window where pink sheets where the patient put their sheet in a plastic box.

My number was 79. There were no other pink sheets in the box. I put my completed form into the box, and later noticed that my pink sheet was removed.

I waited over an hour. During my wait, I asked a person believed to be John D Compton MSHIM if the blood lab was open.

He stated that I had two people ahead of me.

Sometime later, another patient arrived and filled out a pink sheet and placed it in the box. This sheet was gathered by an employee and later, called him back for his blood work, therefore a person that arrived much later than I was taken out of turn. This is the genesis of the catastrophic events I experienced as described below.

Later, the patient taken out of turn exited the door leading from the blood lab.

When I was finally called, I was met at the door by a heavy-set female blondish person who called my name. I went to the entrance door.

The afore mentioned female herein referred to as Jane Doe #1 stood blocking the door and staring at me for at least 20 seconds. (My understanding of blocking the door in that manner is body language communicating that the Labcorp person was the Alpha Dog for my treatment.)

Confused, I began to turn towards the waiting room. Jane Doe #1 then told me to follow her. While walking towards the lab, she stated that she might have to poke me two or three times.

(No one I have talked to understand why such a statement was made.)

In retrospect, since I have had my blood drawn at least every 6 months, for 15 to 20 years by staff at my Cardiologist, at Cigna South Mountain, in the hospital, and other providers. My past experiences, the usual procedure was to put a collection device with a needle into my vein, then glass vials with a rubber top would be inserted into the collection device. Several individual blood vials were then filled.

I asked this person why I was taken out of turn. Jane Doe #1 said that a new computer operator in the room was working on my order.

She curtly told me that she had drawn blood on 28 patients in the last hour and she was working as fast as she could.

I again inquired why I was taken out of turn. Since I have been in the computer industry since 1979, I have designed programs/ Database Schemas and other elements of software. In my view, a computer program properly programmed would not shuffle a first-come first-served algorithm.

Jane Doe #1 was to draw my blood and in a raised voice stated that she had performed 28 blood draws in the last hour. That would be 1 every 2.14 minutes, and that she was working as fast as she could.

Of course, this had no bearing on my question of being taken out of order.

I stated that as a medical professional she should show me (a patient) dignity. She shot back nearly yelling, but in a condescending vile voice that she was a patient too, and she was working as fast as she could and again repeated that she had completed 28 blood draws in the last hour. I was in the waiting room for over an hour. Based on the number of people called back for doctor visits, or lab work, and the people in the waiting room, it is dubious indeed that 28 people were served in the last hour.

I was alone in the waiting room for approximately 45 minutes. Again, how many patients were seen in the last hour is completely irrelevant to my question, why I was taken out of turn.

I asked them if in her world the customer was always wrong. She replied in a loud condescending voice that in my case, yes, I was wrong.

She told the computer operator to call Mr. John Doe #1 because I was angry.

(At no time during the encounter did I raise my voice.)

Meanwhile, she drew one test tube of blood, and then threw it on the table next to me without affixing any label to it. She stated in an accusatory tone that, now she was going to have to draw another sample. She poked a needle in my arm and extracted a second sample without labeling the first. Later, pictorial evidence would show that the needle was apparently inserted across the vein and protruded through the other side of the vein and after would soon result in a growing black bruise around the injection site.

Mr.

John Doe arrived and was very educated in conflict reduction. While he was in the room, the woman continued with her diatribe that she had done 28 blood draws in the last hour. Mr. Compton asked her to allow him to talk to me.

Pictorial evidence conclusively proves that that one needle insertion on my arm was inserted in the left across my vein and appeared to go completely through my vein and stab the tissue on the other side.

This left to right stabbing is clearly evidenced by pictures I have taken. (Some I shared with a Ms. Abdul-hakim as she was represented by a computer-generated LABCORP reply as follows.

I have experienced pain and numbness in my hands, fingers, and arm.

The pain required me to change sleeping habits. I awoke with acute pain and stiffness in my neck. I have been subjected to pain, severe anxiety, and inability to perform normal activities due to muscle tightness and various numbness.

I filed acomplaint and was contacted by Jane Doe #2. She stated that she would conduct the investigation.

Per LABCORPS Employee Manual, it would seem that Fast is stressed more than customer care.

Now I am getting the run-around. Ms. Jane Doe 3 who identifies herself as Corporate Compliance Officer Mid-America Division has advised that she would be conducting the investigation, a situation that was allegedly investigated by The best person a Ms. Jane Doe #2 and if they need further information, they would contact me.

She further communicated Labcorp cannot discuss personnel actions.

We will be in touch if we need additional information. (In other words, Dont call us, well contact you.)

Rude and Disrespectful Staff and Excessive Wait Time

I came for a simple Employer Drug Testing at Location: 1151 Blackwood Ave, Ocoee, FL 34761 Receptionist Shanelle was very rude, disrespectful of others time and confrontational. I was a walk-in arrived at 11am and was told, that the wait time was 2hrs and to register at the Kiosk.

I was texted at 1:15pm to be next and that my name would be called. I was out of the bldg at the time my name was called, but came in shortly around 10 minutes later. Shanelle repeated herself three time as if I was a child not to leave back out of the bldg this time or else I would have to come back the next day for testing. I said okay you do not need to repeat yourself for the third of 4th time I can hear.

However as I was sitting there it was now 2:17pm and they expected me to continue holding my *** for another hour since arriving this morning at 11am. Another person there for walk-in Employer Drug Test was told the same thing not to leave. I went back to Shanelle and asked her why isn't my name showing up on the screen as a walk in like the young lady that just walked in and her name was there. Shanelle stated because it's not.

I asked again why isn't my name on the screen? Shanelle states because the lady was there for something else not the same thing, which was a lie because I heard the young lady tell Shanelle she was there for the exact same thing I was there for. I told Shanelle to just answer the question and stop being so feisty and listen, Shanelle said to me I answered the question you just didn't understand. I could no longer hold my *** and asked them to let me in the back to use the restroom, and one of the staff members trying to tell me if I go use the restroom and he calls me, I stopped him and said listen I got to *** and was about to *** on myself and you holding a conversation about if I use the restroom and he calls my name next.

Once I used the restroom I told him do not worry about I'm leaving and this is ridiculous that you all making folks wait to use the restroom and I saw the two of them holding a conversation in the back like the lobby wasn't full. This location is the worse location ever. An elderly gentleman with a walker, came in and she left the desk and didn't return for about 15 minutes after he left. He had to use the restroom and there wasn't anyone to let him in the back to go to the restroom.

He left out the door because he had to go really bad and as he was walking out and said that he deals with this all the time. No one should have to take this kind of treatment. There were people still in the lobby waiting for hours that was hungry haven't eaten and the staff didn't seem to care about any of the patients or respected their time. I left them know that I was going to report the entire staff.

I called the CORPORATE OFFICE and filed a complaint against the location and the rude employee Shanelle.

I would not recommend this location to anyone. If I could rate this location it will be a zero.

If you are going to act like a child you will be treated like one. Adults know that you should stay in the building.

If you had answered the first time she would not need to repeat herself. She wanted to make sure that you heard so you do not complain if you had to reschedule. Funny how you can ask the same question, but get angry at her when she days the same thing.

She did answer the question. It is NOT LISTED THERE. You are slow.
