Labcorp - Nurse Review from Nashville, Tennessee

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

I went to labcorp today located at 222 Rockaway turnpike in Cedarhurst NY.I got there a few minutes before 12. The receptionist waz very rude.

I told her i was there to give a urine sample. Alice the receptionist told me " im on lunch at 12 and you must leave and come back at 12:30 " I told Alice its not twelve we have a few minutes lets go do this quickly. Alice said " so im suppose not eat lunch becuse you want to leave a urine sample. I cant help you state law says you have to wait 10 minutes before i can take a urine sample from you." I said miss thats not true why are you lieing to me ?

Then i said miss i took a bus over here and it raining im not feeling well can i please just sit and wait in the lobby. Alicr said " No im on break and im locking the office you must leave." then she called her coworker to escort me out of the office. They locked the doors and left me standing in the rain. I told them i was calling the supervisor and they said i was more then welcomed too gave me his phone number.

I called the suoervisor and i told him what just happend at the ladcorp office and he apoligized and told me he would call the office and tell them to let me sit in the lobby. 15 minutes later they opened the door let me in okay but i became even more insulted when Alice walked out talking on her cell phone telling someone on the phone " I tell it like it is.. People are complaining on me." the she started speaking another language. Oh my God!

Did she really just do that... She did.. I dont think Alice likes her job. I am a nurse and i would never speak to anyone in my facility like that let alone a patient.

No compassion some people can be so heartless and evil. I did not feel welcomed there and next i will go to a differnt location.

Didn't draw enough blood to complete my test

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
I went to Labcorp for some routine blood work. Waited a while-that's ok, I had a book. I have a disability which requires a walker so it is painful to get in and out of places. They drew my blood and I left. About a week later, I got a call to return because they did not fraw enough blood to do the test my doctor wanted. I am pretty unhappy, as I work full time, am disabled, and its winter and I also have to deal with snow and slipping. This is not the first time this has happened-I feel that when you guys screw up the draw you should have to go to where it is convenient for the patient-not all of us can just jump up and blow odd work because you didn't do your job properly

I went in to Lab Corp before work after a 12 hour fast. I made an appointment for as early as possible. My appointment was for 6:30. At 6:28, they called a walk in up. At 6:29, they called a second walk in up. They totally ignored my appointment time and took walk ins because they were there first. When I pointed out that I had an appointment and the others did not, they said too bad, they were here first.

Labcorp Staff Review from Bellevue, Washington

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
The labcorp located off of Fletcher and Bearss university cove there medical lab assistant was very rude. I had waited patiently to be seen and then when I got off in the back of the office, assistant made me take everything off and lock my items up and then, after I give her the specimen, she take it and pour it out and told me I had to wait again another 45 minutes to an hour. There were other patients complaining saying the same as well and the wait time. I wanted to go to another before I got seen because of what the other patients was saying and the wait time. And the other assistant didn't want to give me the papers back and then there was nobody really at the front desk to assist. Like, if the assistant is upset about something it, seem, she don't need to take it out on her patients. I don't really do complains on things but that's just not nice or cool.

Labcorp Urine Test Review from Hollywood, Florida

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
I went to labcorp for employment testing had to wait for about an hour to do test. I had to go quick after i got there. I went *** at that time since they couldnt answer any question on service or time frame. Then i started to drink water to be ready soon. When i asked how long till i can take the tast she said can i hold it. I respond it depends on how long. She said with attitude go ahead. To use the bathroom like it was a bother to her as i go to the bathroom after holding it for an hr at this point. So i did then with in 3 mins after i went she called me for test . I stated i wasnt ready she stated better get drinkin. So i did then for the third time then had to go again they still wasnt ready then right before i had to let it go she called me after the hr wait and twice already peeing and forcing water to be able to test. Then after all the stress and inhumane treatment at the clinic i have to retake test. Making me look bad for there inaccurate servicing causing me to unnecessarily over drink. I feel very disrespected and belittled for just trying to be ready and able for a test that depends on ones body not depending on anything else. The lady at desk also made me feel like i was threatened or givin an altamatem to get the test. She said she didnt have to answer to me and was going to refuse the test to me if i didnt leave her alone and go sit and wait for her. I am very disturbed by this not only causetime lost but also cause it is like slander to cause a bad apperance to my employer cause her lack of professionalism. Or even human compation for someone in discomfort as they attempt to do as they are supposed to.

Labcorp Blood Count Review from Towson, Maryland

This review is for the Lab Corp location at Green Spring Station in Lutherville Timonium Maryland. The two women who work here are absolutely the worst. I had my labs done here a year ago and they were both rude, flippant, arrogant and condescending. It was pretty upsetting and I contacted Labcorp about it at the time. I'm not talking indifferent, I mean RUDE. I recently had my annual physical and my physician sent me back to the same place. Because it's been a year, I didn't think about until I walked into the Labcorp office and they were both there. (It appeared they were the only people there.) I started to leave and go back to my dr to get a referral to another lab but I didn't. The "older" blond haired woman was curt, unpleasant and rude from the second I walked in to sign in. Once I got to the desk where they could process my insurance, I mentioned I was scared of needles and laughed nervously. (my physicians know this and have told me to let labworkers know this in case I faint, etc) The blond haired middle aged, heavy set woman sent me to one of the chairs and then she came to draw my blood. So, without saying anything to me at all, she drew my blood and stood there gossiping with the other woman while she did so. I was very nervous and looking away when she said "why are you breathing like that?" (I was taking deep breathes in hoping to relax.) I replied "I'm scared of needles" to which she replied "sad" IN a very rude and dismissive tone. I was stunned. So, I'm not sure what's going on at this location but I will drive out of the way to go to another lab, any other lab before I'll come back here. It's pathetic. I'm also about to call my doctors office and tell them because they refer patients there. I just can't imagine being so unhappy with your job, life or whatever that you have to mistreat patients. I was so polite, nice, accommodating and everything else but it didn't seem to help. Yes, I'm an adult and I'm leery of needles. It doesn't give you the right to be rude and unkind. If you feel that way, keep it to yourself. I shouldn't be having to review a medical-related place because people aren't doing a job that they're expected and paid to do. Yes, I had my blood drawn and afterwards, sat in my car almost in tears. I contacted Labcorp last year when this happened, with the same two women. I'm not sure why this behavior is allowed to continue and a little compassion might not hurt. Ridiculous.

Labcorp Appointment Review

I arrived at labcorp at Toperwein in San Antonio Texas at 6:45 am, they opened at 7:00, but saw the first client at 8:30, I consider that to be abusive on behalf of the staff, they did get everyone's information , but made us wait for an hour , I think that also may affect lab results.

Labcorp - Drug Screening Review from Brandon, Florida

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
This has by far been my worst experience at this labcorp. I signed in at 930 am as a walk in because prior coming I called and I was told that I cannot make an appt for employee drug screen. That was a lie I'm sitting here 2 hours later after I made an appt for today. People with an appt still have to wait an hour. The Spanish lady at the front desk is very rude and told me that I can go to neighboring cities 30-1 hr away If I want but there's nothing she can do for me. She has been rude to other patients in my 2 hour wait time. It's almost noon and my drug screen expire at 1 pm I will never come to this Bloomingdales location again!!!!!!!! Will be filing a formal complaint.

Try going to Labcorp and having to wait for the"professional" to make sure his transition glasses make him look good, also to watch him splash on copious amounts of cologne. When it's time to draw the blood,he goes too deep and hits the muscle! Says to you that he knows that hurt and your going to have a HUGE bruise. But he's a"Professional". !!

Never reported my labs

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
I went in for labs Aug. 24th. I had 6 vials drawn. Very important labs post surgery. I handed them the paper with all my labs with my MD contact info. I emailed them a week later and labs were reported as not ready. Almost a month goes by and I call just to find out they lost my paper, had some paper with a MD name that was not in their network and did not notify them because of it. That was not my paper or my doctor. They have my number. They could have called me. Instead they took no action. When I called and asked to talk to a supervisor I was told to go online. I said, "So do I have to contact the State to get this escalated?" and she stated "I'm disconnecting now." She hung up on me and they refused to help me. These people are going to get someone killed. Do no do business with them.

They can't find my results

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
Updated by user Sep 09, 2015

According to Blue Cross, LabCorp switched my first and last names when making the insurance claim for these tests. They now will need to fix the billing (Blue Cross will contact them tomorrow).

Hopefully my test results are available under the reversed name so my doctor can find them. If my doctor's office can't locate them, LabCorp needs to re-send those results to my doctor.

This should never happen.

It isn't that difficult to properly copy a name from an insurance card. I can only hope that LabCorp is more careful with the actual testing and reporting results.

I was one of the first patients one morning a week ago - I showed up when the place was opening. Everyone seemed nice, I got in and out within about 20 minutes. Two blood draws. One urine specimen. I thought everything was fine. Went to my doctor this morning. Results weren't there. My doctor's office calls Labcorp. They can't find my results. They call the local Labcorp office. no one there knows anything. Everyone is asking me "are you sure you went to Labcorp?" Yes, I'm sure. I know where I went. Now where are my test results?

Unfortunately (and ironically), "Personal Choice" insurance gives you no covered lab option other than LabCorp. If I had an actual "Choice", as the name of the insurance policy implies, I wouldn't go there.

If you have a choice pass on Lab Corp on Forest ... pass.

As far as, pulling blood they are great ... as far as, how they treat people ... absolutely zero customer service ...

if you don't like your job, don't do it. No need to treat people terrible because you work the desk at Lab Corp.

Billing mistakes

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
Located in Peekskill NY. The service at the front desk and the actual service performed were great. There was an additional $13.00 charge above my co-pay. (By the way...they take a credit card #). After I checked out the charge, I paid the bill. I received a delinquent notice. I use an online bank, so I had to have them fax proof of payment which they did. I then received, on the same day, a notice from a collection agency and a statement of overpayment because they went ahead and charged my credit card. Sloppy, sloppy, sloppy, sloppy, sloppy.
