I had complaint, which got resolved

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
It was a personal interaction with one lady technician, i complaint personally with her which didn't improved the situation, etc. But this week on Tuesday she was super professional, she handed me two colorful bandages and said: so we don't have any issues in the future. She was very professional and surprised me how she apologized. So, I like to disregard my complaint. Stars for the technician in the West Hills. Thank you for your time and attention. Gabriele Petty

I was terrified to go in for testing after reading these reviews, but I went to the location in Columbus off knights-bridge, and Lori called me back quickly and was extremely friendly. Not all of them suck.

I have had so many bad experiences with LabCorp. Decided to give it another shot and it turned out really bad. First of all they make you sign in on the computer with all your information. And don't forget the line of people behind you. Meanwhile, the staff is visual behind the window having a great time. So we all signed in and now what? The tiny waiting room is filled with at least 15 people with no service. So, now they call you up to the window and want more information. Why? We all put the information in the computer so why are you asking for my credentials? In the 38 minutes that I was there they took back two people. That will be my last time. I will rate this as less than 1 star.

Talk to her insurance company. They are the ones that determine what she owes after they pay, not the lab.

COVID-19 Results

I am a physician, working on the healthcare frontlines, and got tested for COVID-19 on 3/17/20. My results were sent to LabCorp on 3/18/20. After numerous calls, today is DAY 7, and I do not have my results. I called LabCorp and was told that healthcare providers have no special priority and have to wait like everyone else. Governor of GA made statement that healthcare providers are a priority, but LabCorp is private and does not honor that. My hospital called today and was told it will take up to 8 BUSINESS DAYS to get my results... admitted they are not working on weekends. they originally advertised 2-5 day wait time when my hospital received test kits from them. Frustrated that I may have exposed patients to COVID and still do not know. I believe this needs to be addressed with a higher-level supervisor for poor customer service. - Christina Noguera, MD Family Medicine Chief of Staff, Upson Regional Medical Center

All US labs and hospitals understands the importance of the covid 19 results. Because of an unimaginable large volume of test requests, labs are overwhelmed and results can take much longer.

All patients are important and are given equal opportunity to be tested and results sent in a timely manner. No one is prioritized based on VIP status nor simply because they have a title of MD.

This is a stressful time for everyone and all want to get well and be back in their jobs. I do not think the lab owes you any apology for the circumstance that is not under their control.

Labcorp patient centers do not collect any swab specimens from patients directly. Patients must go through their physician for any swab collections.

The physician will then send the swab specimen to the Labcorp area testing center for testing.

Labcorp patient centers only collect blood and urine samples and do not perform tests on site. All specimens are sent off site to a Labcorp area licensed testing center.

You need to contact their billing department. Their phone is 800-845-****.

You may also want to contact your insurance company to see if they cover your labs. If they do, have them work with the lab to cover the costs. You may have to resubmit your insurance info again. You may have to keep on calling and even ask them to escalate your concern.

Just be nice to anyone you speak to in regards to this.

I find that when I called for these issues often representatives go an extra mile to help me when I am polite. It might help you never know.

There is no infection control. The touch screens for check in are filthy and the patient is provided no wipes or hand sanitizer. No masks are provided for patients suspecting they are sick. No effort is made to discourage coughing and sneezing without covering up in the waiting room

Go to another lab (For me, Quest)

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
Ugh. Ill equipped, stankface front desk staff. Tried to get me to agree to an "approx possible bill" for $81.00 (more or less) ABOVE what my insurance covers at 100% with my co-pay being ZERO. I verified this. But they still wanted me to agree to paying "$81.00 more or less" should they need to, by providing my credit, debit or FSA card. NO- I don't think so. My co-pay confirmed to be zero though my insurance provider. I will not agree for Labcorp to bill me more just because they can. Labcorp's reasoning and process for leaving an "open end amount" they CAN bill you for is ludicrous. ** This happened to me before, where I was billed $970.00 for 1 (one) test where THEY messed up by mis-labeling my blood draw, requiring a second round of testing/draws; then sent my bill to collections. That was reversed on appeal in my favor. Had I not questioned and protested they would be after me for anything above what my insurance already said, they would pay. Labcorp needs to honor the agreements with the insurance companies they contract with. Period. If Labcorp will not or cannot, then DO NOT accept testing orders for these insurance companies. There are options for us- go to another lab, that can follow this logic and rules- this option is Quest for me.

Violation of federal law regarding paid sick time rules

A couple of employees were quarantined by their doctors and had to remain out of work. The supervisor violated the new federal law and did not pay them as required. They are afraid that if they file a complaint with HR they will get in trouble with the supervisor.

Law has not been passed yet, and is not retroactive. It only covers paid leave for government offices.

It does give companies a reason to continue paying quarantined people.

However, companies are not required to by law. They get a major tax break if they do.

Do not let them continue sticking them if they show any incompetence or try to stick you more then twice

I went to accompany sponsored health and wellness check. They measured height/weigh, blood pressure, and drew blood. At first impression the guy seemed fine. However after he took the first drawing and missed the vein I felt uncomfortable. He repeated this again, in which he took too little of a sample. He repeated it a 3rd time on the same arm (right arm) and missed again. He then said," that was weird I don't know how that happened again." Instead of asking for help he asked to use my left arm. There was nothing for it to rest on and asked me to hold it straight. He then stuck me again, missing. The 5th time he gathered a sample and said,"I think this will be enough." The gauze he gave me immediately soaked through as soon as I left. I returned to get more gauze to have the guy ignore me and someone else help me. I could tell he was unsure of what he was doing yet he had 14 years of experience? The next day I received a call saying some of my results were critical and I needed to see a doctor as soon as possible. I went and got a second drawing which went smoothly. No hiccups, no mess-ups at all. It's company policy I learned to only stick twice before grabbing someone else if you're unable to. If the results were not accurate like I suspect it is a gross misuse of trust. I was told over the phone by strong implication I was in danger at work.

Two different Drs ordered tests and labcorp did not do most of them. Cost us two more trips to a different lab and two more co-pays for the Drs that could not give us results because of labcorp. Not to mention missed time from work to redo tests someplace else. Incompetent fools.

DONT GO TO PITTSBURG CA LOCATION!

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
The lab tech at your Pittsburg CA location (Gladstone drive) is absolutely horrible. She verbally attacks me every time I bring my son in for labs. She refuses to pull up his standing order in the computer, and repeatedly tells me that the older orders should be removed. I explain that I can not remove them, and that our doctors office cant either. She verbally attacks that. She screamed at me this morning in front of my 10 year old, and slammed the window in my face. She is a medical professional dealing with a chronically ill child and his family. She needs better training, bedside manor, and maybe some help so that she isn't so grumpy. She also took a patent before us on purpose. This is not acceptable! Please please train her better. This is my second complaint.
