LabCorp in Las Vegas, Nevada - Incompetent Billing department

My husband is of the age where he gets a LOT of lab work done. He (fortunately) has double coverage so he has Primary and Secondary insurance. Every single time he has lab work done I have to fight with LabCorp to get them to adjust the balance off. They bill the Primary insurance which pays, then they bill the Secondary. They are a Participating Provider with them (Anthem/BCBS) so there is a contracted rate at which they are paid. They get more than the contracted rate from the Primary insurance so Anthem doesn't have to pay anything. The EOB clearly states "the member is not responsible for this amount" yet they keep sending us invoices. It is 9/9/14 and I am still fighting with them over an invoice from 12/13/13. Their billing people clearly don't know proper billing procedures. I do. I was an insurance biller for 5 years. It's a shame I have to tell them how to do their jobs every single time my husband has lab work done.

LabCorp in Pasadena, Texas - Unproffesional and unqualified

I took my one year old son to the Labcorp in Pasasdena, Texas off Fairmont and to start the minute I walked in it was dusty/dirty in there. Second there was only one lady in there and might I add she was unproffesional with her LONG gaudy nails that could be unsanitary and she spoke to me with slang! Third I made it clear when setting the appointment that it was for a baby and she was unqualified but I was unaware of this till she couldn't find a vein. The so called phlebotomist then gabbed the needle in my babys arm as I hold him down and his arm out. She still couldn't find the vein so she decides to wiggle it back and forth and in and out!!! Fishing is the term used for this and can harm my baby. After I told her she was gonna hurt my baby she then admits that two people are suppose to assist with this procedure and I neede to go to another location!! Something I should of been told from the get go. This is very unproffesional and could have caused damage to my poor child. You can only image his terror when we arrive at the second Labcorp for the same procedure in the same arm!

I have had this happen to me too a few times. I can also never reach anyone on the phone at Labcorp corporate or at the local office to discuss why this is happening.

The phone rings indefinately.

The only number that you can get a live person to talk with is the billing department. They seem to only want my money, but not to share my results with me or my doctor!

LabCorp in Langhorne, Pennsylvania - Not able to draw blood from our baby, did nothing but hurt him

Do NOT go to the Labcorp lab at 240 MIDDLETOWN BLVD., LANGHORNE, PA for your baby's blood work. They were NOT able to draw even a drop of blood from our baby!! Three people tried to find his vein and the last one, who seemed to be the most experienced in the lab, inserted the needle into his arm before she could even locate the vein. She twisted and turned the needle in our baby for a few minutes, making him cry so hard! She finally gave up and pulled out the needle and no blood sample was collected. She commented that it was because he was "well-fatted." Well, his weight is in the 90th percentile but does that mean all the babies in the 90th percentile and above cannot get their blood samples collected? This is not the first time our baby got his blood drawn. He had it in the hospital and the nurses had no problems doing it. Our baby didn't stop crying until 30 minutes after the visit. I think the twisting and turning of the needle in his arm made him sore. It was a horrible experience and a waste of our time and energy! We had to take time off from work to go to the lab and we spent 50 minutes there, nothing accomplished and our baby was hurt.

The worst customer service ever.I went yesterday with my daughter and wait five hours. The two workers were rude, unprofessional, no compassion. I know that a facility closed so everyone has to go to the one on 19636 n 27th, Phoenix. That is no reason for our service.these companies need to realize customer service is important and especially in the healthcare. Those ladies at that site were horrible.making statements like "we really don't have to do drug screenings because we don't get anything from those", or if you don't want to wait you can leave our make an appointment".....just disgusting behavior. I work for United healthcare and I would not accept that behavior from anyof my agents. Thank you for poor service....

Labcorp - Blood Work Review from Zephyrhills, Florida

No customer service !!!!! Was not getting a commitment on a appointment. Showed up later as a only customer. After 45 min the lady said that the computers went down . A other 30 min wait . And she only complaint about her job. I lost a half day of work with no blood work done .costumer service none.....so you laborb Cal this pissed costumer complain. You don't have any business being in business

LabCorp in Niskayuna, New York - Totally unqualified phlebotomist

Went to union street, schenectady labcorp for routine blood work. The phlebotomist tried several times with the 21 years old and failed. After multiple pro kings, she said for some reason, she is not bleeding. Made her sit and drink water for 30 minutes. Tried again and failed. You put these unqualified and inexperienced people on your staff - that is what happens. After wasting an hour, she was asked to come back another day! Imagine the plight of the poor patient. I took the 21 years old straight to the doctor's office and told them about the experience. Their staff got the blood on first try without any trouble. My impression on labcorp dived from 9 to 1!
