Dr did not get my blood work results.

Had blood work done on Mon. Today is Fri. So far, Dr did not get results. Have surgery scheduled this Monday, which requires the blood work . So, just had to cancel the procedure. Other times have asked for results Mailed( note-mailed) to me. Never get them.At wits end... Please Insurance bring back Quest. Labcorp is useless. In addition, so bad, asked recently my Family Dr to fax a script for bloodworm. They refused, saying Labcop claims they never get the fax, and also they usually don't get any lab results.have no more to say. Have four characters more left

Micro management by LabCorp Supervisors and their Managers

I'm a billing employee with this company and they do not appreciate employees or their work ethics. Recently, I was accused in a roundabout way of logging in remotely instead of being in the office. The supervisor never asked my situation, yet she assumed I did it from somewhere outside of my office site. Anyone that knows about computers knows that desktop email looks differently than remotely accessed email. I own up to doing wrong and this supervisor assumed something that was not true. My desktop email program had crashed, but she didn't bother to ask my situation, nor did she apologize for her false accusations. Witnesses were available to back me up. Some are so busy brown nosing than can't see the big picture. If you are looking for a job, do yourself a favor and don't choose LabCorp as an employer. In addition to all of the above, raises were 2% this year and some received less or none.

Unproffesional and unqualified

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
I took my one year old son to the Labcorp in Pasasdena, Texas off Fairmont and to start the minute I walked in it was dusty/dirty in there. Second there was only one lady in there and might I add she was unproffesional with her LONG gaudy nails that could be unsanitary and she spoke to me with slang! Third I made it clear when setting the appointment that it was for a baby and she was unqualified but I was unaware of this till she couldn't find a vein. The so called phlebotomist then gabbed the needle in my babys arm as I hold him down and his arm out. She still couldn't find the vein so she decides to wiggle it back and forth and in and out!!! Fishing is the term used for this and can harm my baby. After I told her she was gonna hurt my baby she then admits that two people are suppose to assist with this procedure and I neede to go to another location!! Something I should of been told from the get go. This is very unproffesional and could have caused damage to my poor child. You can only image his terror when we arrive at the second Labcorp for the same procedure in the same arm!

Collections Review

This company will send customers to collections without any notification. After just a couple of months after the services. They are not concerned with making their customers happy. I now request to not use labcorp specifically. Horrible company!

Most Rude Experience Ever 107th Nall Overland Park,KS LabCorp

I looked up lab corp locations online after my doctor's office said I could get my blood labs drawn at either a Quest Diagnostics or a Labcorp location. I chose Labcorp because there was a location next to my house.

The hours for the location stated it closed at 4:30PM on Fridays and walk-ins are welcome. No other instructions. I decided to leave work an hour early so that I could arrive by 3:45PM out of courtesy. I walked through the door of the lab at 4:04PM (after my GPS accidently took me to a labcorp that only does drug tests).

I went to sign in and had my lab orders snatched out of my hand as I was signing in, and was quickly berated. The labcorp employee at this location (his name is Christian according to his name tag) is one of the rudest people I have ever encountered. I work as a nurse and I can't imagine treating any patient the way he treated me. I cannot express his mannerisms over this message, but essentially he acted as though I was the biggest inconvenience of his life.

He openly, loudly, and angrily complained about me and my "large lab order" (5 labs, 3 vials of blood) in front of me and the other customers in the waiting room to his co-worker, all while making angry sighs and shaking his head repeatedly. After taking my information, the lady working with him handed my insurance card back and said "by the way, we ask in the future you arrive by 4:00PM". I just shook my head ok because I am a passive person by nature all while thinking, THAT IS NOT STATED ANYWHERE ON THE WEBSITE. IN ADDITION I ARRIVED AT 4:04PM.

PLEASE SHOW SOME MERCY AND GRACE FOR MY 4 MINUTE TARDINESS. While I was getting my blood drawn by Christian, my husband arrived in the waiting room after parking the car. That same lady co-worker of Christian was heard complaining harshly and annoyed to another customer in the waiting room how they will have to stay "soo late this evening because someone just walked through the door with a huge blood work order". So unprofessional.

I have stayed late on Fridays hundreds of times for my patients, and I have NEVER complained or made any sign of annoyance, especially to their faces. This is because healthcare is a BUSINESS and patients are the CUSTOMERS. I felt like *** when I left labcorp and honesly was on the brink of tears. I am having labs drawn for a scary potential diagnosis, and being treated this way was what I needed least at this time.

This is not how a CUSTOMER should feel. I will now in the future take my business to Quest Diagnostics where I hope that their employees realize the value of customer service and respect and the right for patients to CHOOSE healthcare services (hopefully most people have other options than labcorp).

In addition, after reading all these negative feedback comments, I am going to be very vigilant in making sure my bill is submitted correctly to my insurance.

Labcorp..does not work

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
Went to te 41-51 wilson ave site in Newark NJ and 45 minutes later only four people had been seen and two had appointments that took 30 minutes before they were allowed into the room. My insurance company is in on the labcorp scam and they have contracted to have their clients seen by labcorp- so I was stuck going to labcorp. Moreover, I see nothing but complaints about billing and wrong lab results. Part of the hold up at the wilson ave. newark site was that it was crowded and hot, but some people came because their results were lost and they took up the receptionist time in the search for their labs. I went to the window to see the staff all sitting around looking worn out, and not taking any labs. 4 people should not take 45 minutes even if the facility is crowded.

Incompetent Billing department

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
My husband is of the age where he gets a LOT of lab work done. He (fortunately) has double coverage so he has Primary and Secondary insurance. Every single time he has lab work done I have to fight with LabCorp to get them to adjust the balance off. They bill the Primary insurance which pays, then they bill the Secondary. They are a Participating Provider with them (Anthem/BCBS) so there is a contracted rate at which they are paid. They get more than the contracted rate from the Primary insurance so Anthem doesn't have to pay anything. The EOB clearly states "the member is not responsible for this amount" yet they keep sending us invoices. It is 9/9/14 and I am still fighting with them over an invoice from 12/13/13. Their billing people clearly don't know proper billing procedures. I do. I was an insurance biller for 5 years. It's a shame I have to tell them how to do their jobs every single time my husband has lab work done.

Opened late, filthy facility

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
The Stow, Ohio facility has posted hours of 7:30 to 4:30, but faile to open until nearly 8:00am. Their closed sign remained in the window. The facility was poorly maintaine and dirty on both the inside and out, with peeling paint, stained carpeting, poor and worn furniture, trashy looking and generally not what most people would expect from a health care services location. Worse than any CVS, Walgreens or Riteaid pharmacy location in terms of cleanliness and professional image by far. Staff member was pleasnat and conversational, however. That didn't exactly make up for the fact that this was a dirty hole than probably scared anyone thinking of having their blood drawn there. My wife was thoroughly disgusted that a supposed health care services affliate could be maintained this poorly and remained to opperate in our area. The owners or area supervisors need to wake up. Not up to standard on any level. I have visisted body shops and auto service garages that were cleaner.

Lab specimens never tested

I had a lab order for a osmolality test of 3 urine samples collected myself at designated times. I collected the samples after fasting for 12, 14, and 15 hours respectively. On July 29th, I dropped off the three samples, each clearly marked with dates and times that corresponded with the three times listed on the lab order (8am, 10am, 11am). A week later on August 14, I called my doctor to see if he had received the results. He said that he had received the results for one specimen that was marked 6pm. And he had not received any other results. Almost a week later, I called LabCorp customer service to find out why the results from the other specimens had not been sent. The customer service rep told me that only 1 specimen had been tested and that she could not even tell me which specimen it was because the time recorded on the report was the time that the specimen was tested, not the time written on the specimen. When I asked her why only 1 specimen was tested instead of all 3 (which I dropped off in three separate cups all in 1 sealed bag) she said it was because all of the tests had been submitted on 1 order. She went back into the system and pulled up the lab order. She read to me the exact instructions off the order which said that each urine sample collected at the three stated times should be measured for osmolality. So the lab order in their system was perfectly simple and clear, but the lab tech did not carry it out. When I asked what could be done about this, she said that the specimens had already been discarded so I would have to collect them again. This is malpractice. Why can't a lab tech follow a very simple and clear lab order? Testing 3 urine samples is too complicated for their techs to handle? And why is it not common practice to include in the report the time the sample was collected as it is clearly written on the container? Even if the tech had tested all three sample, if the time of collection was not included with each result, how would my doctor have been able to make a useful assessment of the results? This is just basic scientific practice - you record the time of the collection. Now I will have to fast for 15 hours again and redo the collections. How is it that Independence Blue Cross dropped Quest from their in network providers in order to make LabCorp their preferred provider?

Misdiagnosed Results

I had gone to PCP w/suspected uti. I have had at least one every month for past 3 yrs due to cancer, so I am quite familiar with symptoms. Urinalysis was sent off to Labcorp for culture to be run. I received an email with results indicating that they found only trace amounts of urogenital flora, 10,000 colony; no infection. This is a physical impossibility as my urine flow comes nowhere near the vicinity of my genital region. Part of cancer treatment was removal of bladder and I urinate via an opening in region of umbilicus. However, because of their not finding infection ( or possibly falsifying lab result) my dr sent me to see a nephrologist as my initial urine lab in dr's office showed the presence of protein in urine. When present without infection, this can be sign of serious condition. Because one kidney has already suffered atrophy and the other has nephrosis, it is imperative that I determined the cause of this protein. This put me through further testing, not to mention the pain I was already experiencing.

After going through testing and seeing nephrologist, i was forced to return to PCP when I began passing large amounts of blood in urine. Second urinalysis was done. Low and behold...I had a urinary tract infection.

I contacted lab and tried to inquire about the first failed attempt at diagnosis. I was treated very poorly and basically told mistakes happen. Well, this type of mistake can cost some people their lives. Had I not been persistent in seeking a second opinion and simply waited out the results from nephrologist, who knows what further damage could have been done to an already poor kidney? Then to add insult, you act like it is no big deal. I assure you to those who are relying on these results, sometimes for life saving treatments, it matters a *** of a lot!

On top of that, this is the same lab facility which a few years prior had completely missed the existence of my cancer. I had my annual exam in June of '10. They reported no abnormalities found; normal PAP. Despite the fact I had been experiencing symptoms for over a yr, with a negative result my gyno thought there was no way I had cancer and treated me for endometriosis. A month after exam, I suffered two shattered vertebrae, a seizure and a coma followed by a second seizure and coma a month after that. Diagnosis...stage IV cervical cancer. Again, a major miss by this Lab facility. And a life threatening one.

This is precisely why I tell everyone I can to be their own health advocate. You can not ever rely upon results you are given to be complete and truthful. If you suspect something is wrong, go to dr...again and again and again if necessary until someone listens to you. You never know...you may be right. I was!

Oh...and do not use LABCORP, if you can avoid it!

Seriously...Value? How do I put a value on what I have gone through because of their incompetence?

Long Wait -- Nopbody Cares

l0/8/14 I went to Phoenix lab at 1010 E. McDowell where I have been going for months with standing order. There were two lab people--one a lab tech and the other doing desk work. The waiting room was full and people lined up in the hall. Usually both techs have taken care of the desk and the blood work so it goes pretty fast. Not this time -- I waited approx. 45 minutes. Finally Christina came out to the waiting room. I asked her why such a long wait -- she said, "You should be thankful you weren't here yesterday -- the wait was two hours." Then she said I should make an appointment. I had no idea that was possible -- there is no phone at the desk. So I found out you could use the computer. By that time I was feeling lousy, so I just left and went home and made an appointment for this week. Nobody cares.
