Staffing Review

Labcorp staff work very hard always very understaff. Sometimes they don't even get a lunch. I've been at the joliet location to see that blonde gal working her *** off no help for her doing it all alone. If she had help the help was no good to her. She was going everything. I felt so sorry for her. Shame on her company

Front Desk employee very rude, aggressive and loud

Filed a complaint May 2014 when my husband went to have routine labs drawn and Kathleen was very aggressive about him giving her his credit card info.We have BCBST and they pay 100% of our labs and she knows this.I went 10/17/14 to have my labs drawn and this was the 1st time either of us have been back since the complaint.Kathleen asked if my husband had filed a complaint and I told her yes.She was very loud,aggressive when talking about this and said that she did not get into any trouble as she had been there for 15 years and they were not going to say anything to her.She said filing the complaint was a bad thing and he should not have done that.The window to the lobby was open and everyone in there could hear the whole conversation.This is clearly a HIPPA violation.Very un-professional and will be our last trip back to Lab Corp.

Classy behavior. Neither of you should have discussed any employee complaints.

I dislike LabCorp personally. Last time I was at one for a blood test, the employees were talking about how much they hate their jobs and managers.

Extremely Rude Attendees

Went to have a drug screen for my job today. Attendees were very short with me. Extremely rude about asking what I had brought in with me then acted like I should know. Then after holding my self from the restroom all morning I went, handed her the cup. She didnt even look at it said it wouldnt work because the tempature and said I would have to re do it. In a extremely cold office for Texas. I sat for a hour and they still wouldnt retest. I told them I had to leave for a appointment I couldnt be late for. She said let me call employer. I Waited 10 minutes she still hadn't came back. I called my boss and told him and he told me just to leave. This was the worse experience I've ever had with customer service ever. No smiles. The lady shouts from the back give him a watercup. The lady hands me a cup then turns away. I stood there like where do I get water? She points out front never looking back at me. Then I sat and sat and sat. Finally 5 minutes before I had be at appointment I got someones attention and told them Listen I got to go. So she tells me if I leave its a refusal. Then turns away. I guess I refuse becausr I left.

Isn't that the truth. Where I work, we are 2 people in a 3 person port.

We have never had walk outs, until last week when "they" came in and changed everything we do. Unbelievable.

Patients were walking out, wait times when from 30 minutes to over an hour. What is going on?

They are working us like slaves and they keep piling on the extra work but no help. And then they want to ask us to help out on our off day.

I don't think so. I'm freakin tired. I cannt even put in plb without it being denied cause there isn't help. And then I can only roll over 40hours at the end of the year and the rest of my time I worked hard for goes out the door.

That is ashame. I worked my *** off just to loose it.

Botched baby's blood draw and can't get billing straight

In response to the complaint I wrote on Labcorp's website, I got a call from some regional supervisor asking me about what happened with my baby's blood draw. He said that they will work on training their techs to handle infants better.

My billing issue is still lingering 7 months later.

During my latest phone call, I was finally transferred to a supervisor (after having repeatedly been told there was no one else I could talk to during previous calls). She checked into what was going on and there seems to be some headway being made finally, but I was told it would take another 2 weeks.

I had to take my week-old newborn to get a blood test on a Saturday. The only nearby location open was the one at Franklin Square (MD). The wait time was over an hour. It took the "tech" 30 minutes to fill the vial drop by drop from my screaming baby's heel. She dripped some on the floor in the process. That evening the doctor calls me with the results, which didn't exist because the sample got hemolyzed, which basically means the tech didn't know what the *** she was doing. Obviously, a week-old baby needing a blood test is nothing to mess around with, we needed to the results to make sure she didn't need to be hospitalized. 5 months later, I am still fighting with Labcorp over two bills from that time that my insurance has already paid. However, because my child was not added to the insurance until 2 weeks after birth and the labs happened within a week of her birth, Labcorp only has a record of the denied insurance claim and want me to pay the bills. The insurance refiled the claims once the child was added and paid. Labcorp can't reconcile the denied claim with the paid one. They also lost the EOBs I mailed them and every time I call them, it's starting over from scratch.

Me and Husband as gone up to lapcorp on N broadway in oklahoma city for me to get a pre-employment drug test done so I can start my new job the drive is kind far for us so we went on 10/14//14 after he got off at at work after 4:00 when we got there the lady at the first desk was really rude with us instead of just telling us we missed the hours for the drug testing in polite manner she just acted like we were time up her time. So me and my husband got the times and when the next day so I can get it done so I can start my new job we got up there about 11:20 cause my husband had to work and take his lunch break to make sure I could get it done.We walked in and even without us saiding anything the same lady from the other day looked at us like we were *** and told that " Like I said yesterday the hours are 8:00-11:00 to 1:00 to 4:00. me and husband had drove all that way again to just be treated real badly. my husband had to *** easily again on the same day to just get up there at the right time and he had to miss a huge amount of his workday. But I don't like the fact how we were treated she had no right to talk to us that way!

The patient portal has been down for over a week. I need to see my results. I spoke with a rep and she couldn't give me any time frame for when it would be back up. I asked for a manager and they emailed me a form that they claimed could be emailed directly back to authorize sending me the results directly. This form has to be printed and faxed! It's not an electronic form. A company as large as Labcorp should have their website running.

Insurance EOB shows I had ECG on 9/17/14 which I didn't. Called my insurance to let them know. They gave a phone number for them (LabCorp) to dispute. Talked to the non-medically terminology rep and said that was the Dr's order. I said no I had an ECG w/i 1 year and it was never performed. When I said EKG she said no it is an echocardiogram. I said they did no Doppler / ultrasound of my heart. She said she was not medically trained to know the difference. She said to call the ordering doctor to clear up the order. If it was accidentally on the order, they could verify it was not done by obtaining a copy for proof but to automatically bill for it is wrong. Are you serious? The doctors office has nothing to do with their billing. The doctors office was appalled. LabCorp rep said Doctors office needed to submit a corrected order. Now if I had an ECG done on that day wouldn't they have a copy of it as well as the doctor? Yes! But did not offer to look into it. Watch their billing and always keep a copy of your orders for insurance EOB comparison of charges. LabCorp has always had billing issues. I just resolved a billing issue from last December recently in July. Once again their error.

the reason they did not look into it is because Labcorp doesnt do imaging.

The CS rep doesn't have medical terminology for dang sure because she would of known Echocardiogram is imaging. But LabCorp does do EKG's.

I have been to Hunters creek office, semora blvd office in orlabdo Fl. In both locations They very extremely rude in the past. Still i Kept going there since they have me in the system. Had a blood test yetterday Daisy who draw my blood did it sooo wrong, shw tight my hand soooo hard that I could not feel my hand.

Then she was taking for second container my blood just stoppoed coming out. after I had blood cjust stopped coming our. Then she started to move the needle which was expremely painfull. I'm a very thin person 98 pounds, 28 Yes old. Age used biggest needle. I've had lots of blood draws at Quest and at Cancer institute, and at

rhumatologyst ToFfice. They all use smaller needdles with little hose on them. Not on on me but in everybody. At lab corp her needle was giant and didn't have hose on it. Making the turnic so tight, made the blood not come out for second tube Container. Then she let the turnic out so she will have blood for second tube, after she took out her needle I was putring so much pressure and walking in the hallway, I felt dizzy and wanted to throw up, I could feel itching and burning, nubness and pain under my skin, I look at the gause it was all blood. I opened it and blood was there, it was going under my skin... I told them I was feeling good. Front desk lady just stared at me and disnt offer any help. I went back to that Daisyi said I'm feeling very bad and I need to change that gause. Ok she gave new gause, then she said with rudeness "you didn't put enough pressure that's Why you are bleeding" I said I want to throw up, I'm feeling bad, my hand was in pain. daisy ".you can have a sit at that rickliner chair if youwant"

I was siTting there, I asked Daisy "do you guys use big needdles all the time?" Daisy with ugly and annoyed face: "excuse me lady, we use small needdles with small children only,

just put ice , you will fine"

I'm put ice okay, i'm not fine, my hand is hurting, i have bruises...

Those people whi work there, They hate people so much, They are not suppose to be there. . Please find a job that makes you happy... Don't Ruin rest of people's day by sitting there.

Couple weeks ago when we had DNA test done there, front desk lady said they disnt receive fax, so I called dnatesting group he confirmed they sent in at 10:08, I asked thatfront desk lady he isbsaying thwy sent in di you want tontalk to him? She waived her hand with ignorance and with facial expression "just tell him tonrefax" after a while I found out thwy had received it in the morning, but they had in the folder on the wall not sorted by the name in the cabinet. So front desk lady only looked in the drawes.. anyway by that time they receice 2nd we waited

I went to the doctor who ordered a series a tests I get the bill for over $1,000 they said my insurance doesnt cover it. how could a standard std test cost that much? The doctors office gave me no warning of this bill and they told me it was covered. This is a scam lab used by doctors hospitals and clinics all over the place. BOOOOOOOOOOOOOO LABCORP!!!!! need another 30 words so Boo boo boo boo boo boo boo boo boo boo boo boo boo boo boo boo boo boo boo boo boo boo boo boo boo Lab Corp!
