LabCorp Billing is HORRENDOUS!

I have been on the phone with them NUMEROUS times regarding the exact same bill and always have to spend 10 - 15 minutes waiting on someone to answer. Initially, the insurance company recorded the Provider ID incorrectly but has since fixed it. The bill has been paid-in-full for almost 2 months, but I continue to receive invoices from them and have recently received a threat that they would be sending it to a collection agency. I have faxed my Explanation of Benefits proof on 3 separate occasions (to a fax machine that doesn't always work). They need to get their act together or get out of the business.

The lab Corp located in laurel md, is always crowded on Saturdays, multiple times I have had to come back, if the staff cannot handle the workload, maybe the company should extend the hours on Saturday and hire more staff. Customers come in on Saturday because apparently they can't make it in during the week.

LabCorp review in Bowie, Maryland: Unprofessional Staff Conduct While Drawing Blood

3.0
Details
Just as the nurse began procedures for drawing blood from my left arm, a technician came to the doorway, stood, and conversed with the nurse regarding soccer, basketball, and track scholarship opportunities available. Neither one noticed the painful expression on my face as the nurse moved the needle to the right and left, then forward and backward in search for the vein! The nurse continued her conversation with the technician as though nothing was wrong! Over the past ten years, I have had blood drawn three times a year at Lab Corp at Waugh Chapel and have never had a painful experience until today. Certainly the nurse's conversation with her colleague distracted her attention from drawing my blood! Over the years of having blood drawn at Lab Corp, no ever interrupted a procedure until today! Lab Corp employees need to remember the reason why they are working...to serve their patients with their undivided attention! Thank you for your attention. Your response is welcome. Respectfully, Robert Groves P.S. My e-mail address is coachbob48@icloud.com

Labcorp- College Station Texas - unprofessionalism

3.0
Details
Since our retirement in 2009 we have been coming to Bryan Texas to avoid the winter months. Since my wife's stroke in 2005 she has to have a monthly blood test due to blood thinners. To be fair we have had a good experience going to Labcorp in College Station until February 19th 2015. At that time everything changed with a new person there that we've never seen before. Not seeing a name tag all I can call her is Miss X and she had a attitude big time. First I noticed that she didn't like the way people used the sign up sheet and after 35 to 40 minutes waiting it got worse. Then after her asking for our doctor's order and claimed we wasn't in the system, she started to explain what a standing order was. She never was able to explain to us why we had this blood work done since November of 2014 and now we aren't in the system. She told me I had to get another order from my doctor,so I did and after talking with our nurse April she reinforced to me that she had already sent one. So I'm guessing that the bills we have since November are all free since we aren't in the system. I think it would be in this person's best interest to take a angry management class. Fact is that we won't be back I already found another lab close to this place and they are professional ,friendly and we are in their system. And thanks to you all out there with problem's like my just shows me I'm not alone.

LabCorp review in San Francisco, California: Billing and Call Hold time

1.3
Details
I had a billing issue where they continued to send me a past due bill and it was paid 3 months ago. So instead of mailing them another payment- I sent them a copy of the receipt where I paid and they sent me another letter with my recent billing history. The same balance appeared as if I had not paid the bill. Of course when call- it is like calling a city or gov office - LONG hold times. I have been on hold for about 12 minutes. Who has time like this to wait on hold. With the amount of money they make - they can afford to hire more Customer Service agents. The worst!

LabCorp review in Frisco, Texas: Unprofessional staff for blood draw of one year old

1.2
Details
The three person staff at the Frisco, TX draw site was very unprofessional and gave the competence that they did not know how to collect from an infant. KayCee, the phlebotomist, seemed to be a new phlebotomist in her professionalism and treating of my family. My 1 year old had to have a draw for five hormone tests. I walked into the draw station and was finally was called back for the draw. I understand that it is difficult to draw from a child, especially if she is scared and doesn't know what is going on. To make matters worse, two of the phlebs held down my baby while the third drew the blood from her her arm. After a short time, the phleb removed the needle and said we had to try the other arm (no explanation as to why). KC placed the tourniquet on the other arm, all the while my child was screaming loudly in fear, pain, and confusion. KC then removed the tourniquet after finding the veins were not as good on the second arm and said we had to try the first arm again. At this point, my baby was traumatized and there was no way she could continue. KC then informed us that they don't have enough blood for the tests and that if we don't call the dr to ask for splitting the order, then they will throw the blood away. The dr was ok with splitting the order. The draw station never once centrifuged the blood to see how much serum was really available for testing.

Labcorp - Staff Review from Fort Lauderdale, Florida

Most unorganized lab I have ever been to. Very slow, lost prescription, had me give Insurance card, then sit down and get back up to walk thru door to give credit card. Then told to sit back down and wait again. This was all after waiting an hour with 8 patients in waiting room. Have been going to Quest for last ten years but forced to Labcorp for insurance purposes. Labcorp has definitely went downhill.
