Dispute between BlueCrossBS and Labcorp at expense of patient

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
After one year I finally was able to close a long and tortured interaction with Labcorp. I was originally billed $550 for a vaccination by Labcorp because I was not insured according to them. After resubmitting the claim multiple times I found out the truth. BCBS was rejecting the Labcorp invoice because they were violating the terms of the agreement between the two companies because they were processing lab work out of state and charging in-state fees. I was able to verify this fact. In the end BCBS agreed to pay because they were sympathetic to the fact that I was unable to control how Labcorp did their work. So BCBS paid (after a year) but told me they wouldn't if this happened again. I should go to a doctor that did not use them. In practice this is impossible since they have a monopoly. Labcorp lied to me when I called them. (BTW it was extremely hard to talk to them in person. ) On top of that they send the bill to collection. Over the years Labcorp has been fined hundreds of millions in fines. I hope the regulators will continue to clamp down on this unethical company.

Labcorp - Drug Screening Review from Brandon, Florida

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
This has by far been my worst experience at this labcorp. I signed in at 930 am as a walk in because prior coming I called and I was told that I cannot make an appt for employee drug screen. That was a lie I'm sitting here 2 hours later after I made an appt for today. People with an appt still have to wait an hour. The Spanish lady at the front desk is very rude and told me that I can go to neighboring cities 30-1 hr away If I want but there's nothing she can do for me. She has been rude to other patients in my 2 hour wait time. It's almost noon and my drug screen expire at 1 pm I will never come to this Bloomingdales location again!!!!!!!! Will be filing a formal complaint.

LABCORPS Intimidations Tactics

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
Once again, I have received a fake "collections notice" for an outstanding balance that I am receiving for the very first time. LabCorps thinks that sending a phony collection notice for amounts my insurance company has not supposedly paid, will get me to send them a check. Now I'm fighting back. This is why the Federal Consumer Protection Board was created. It's where this invoice is heading to. Rude, unprofessional, uncaring and unwarranted. The invoice threatens to "place my account with a third party collections agency." Well, I'm threatening back. This is no way to treat anyone with a terminal illness.

Labcorp - Customer Care Review from Show Low, Arizona

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
I recently was participating in an employee wellness program and was sent to the only labcorp in my area. I drove 20 miles one way and upon giving the ONLY labcorp employee my conformation number; at which time I was informed that she couldnt find my number therefore she couldnt do an employee wellness panel because she didnt know what tests to run. Im pretty sure she could have checked with her superior or even reached out to her corporate office and verified what wellness panel the multi billion dollar national company that I work for offered their employees. She didnt even attempt to find a solution. Her response was a well worn in look of "OH WELL" WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE IN MY LIFE. I left only to return the following day with a new appt and confirmation number AND I made sure to bring downloaded copies of all necessary paperwork( I couldnt print them as I have no printer) and upon giving her my confirmation number she finds it and says that she "doesent even know how to do this" and she called someone to assist her she finishes that 15 minutes later and informs me that she needs a paper copy of the paperwork I downloaded to my phone so i suggest that I email her at labcorp and she can make a copy that way.NO once again the well worn "OH WELL" look appears and she said "labcorp doesent give us email" My reply was a question...Is there anyone I could forward the paperwork to that could download it or fax it to you?" NO NO ONE A T ALL . Period. Again she didnt care one bit; she once again failed to even suggest a solution to my dilemma nor did she call and ask anyone to assist her with a solution. So I proceed to find my own way to get the documents to her and just as i finish doing that and inform her that the documents are being faxed to her; she then says well I cant do a blood draw on you now because shes closing in five minutes!!! UNBELIEVABLE!!! She knew it was the second trip I had made AND I had arrived early for my appt. My total time this day in this office was an hour and a half. She sat right at her desk and knew that I had gone to great links to overcome this obstacle. Me and any fullfillment or satisfaction of my case was of no concern to her. She made that perfectly clear. She didnt even have the decency to tell me that if I didn't have the solution completed by a certain time she wouldn't be able to take me. I will never patronize LabCorp ever again. I have 35 years experience in the customer service field and her superior's should be appalled. As there is no accountability at LabCorp I can't in good faith give them my business. THANKS FOR NOTHING LABCORP

They can't find my results

Updated by user Sep 09, 2015

According to Blue Cross, LabCorp switched my first and last names when making the insurance claim for these tests. They now will need to fix the billing (Blue Cross will contact them tomorrow).

Hopefully my test results are available under the reversed name so my doctor can find them. If my doctor's office can't locate them, LabCorp needs to re-send those results to my doctor.

This should never happen.

It isn't that difficult to properly copy a name from an insurance card. I can only hope that LabCorp is more careful with the actual testing and reporting results.

Original review Sep 09, 2015
I was one of the first patients one morning a week ago - I showed up when the place was opening. Everyone seemed nice, I got in and out within about 20 minutes. Two blood draws. One urine specimen. I thought everything was fine. Went to my doctor this morning. Results weren't there. My doctor's office calls Labcorp. They can't find my results. They call the local Labcorp office. no one there knows anything. Everyone is asking me "are you sure you went to Labcorp?" Yes, I'm sure. I know where I went. Now where are my test results?

A Total waste of time

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
This was a total waste of time. There was no one at the desk when I arrived to a overcrowded facility. I waited for almost 2 hours only to find that my drug screen test had expired over an hour before I was called. This is an unacceptable customer mistreat. Your company will not survive in the high tech customer first age. One small location for a growing area like Nashville should demand better planning. There are other labs in the area which will enjoy providing your customers with a better experience. This an everyday practice as far others who were waiting stated. The staff seemed overworked and unconcerned about how the customers were being treated. I was there for a drug screen for a job as with most of the people waiting. Labcorp does charge employers a fee to provide test results therefore they have duty to treat the clients with respect of their time and consider a more convenient and efficient service. This not 1970 where computers were just making it on the scene and were larger than automobiles. Please wake up before it is too late to catch up. There is probably an app on the horizion that will replace the ancient policy and procedures of dinasaurs such as Labcorp.

Labcorp Blood Count Review from Levittown, Pennsylvania

Labcorp was fine when my insurance first switched over. (Had to go to quest before). But now they are just as bad as quest. Actually I'm going to say worse than quest. What is the point in accepting walk in's but having people scheduled for appts?!!!! the people who walk in have to wait over an hour to get a simple blood test done. Dumbest thing ever. It doesn't take long to draw blood. The staff is slow and maybe they should hire faster blood drawers then. It's easy to draw a few viles of blood. Doesn't take a rocket scientist. What ever happened to doctors offices drawing blood. Use to be so much easier Labcorp sucks

They should not exist

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
Why to visit these unprofessional *** Hospitals with good labs and professional staff are all over the place. I am surprised they are still in business. Their waiting rooms are completely empty anytime I visit them. Went there this morning for the annual blood work which my doctor orders at the last year appointment. I am healthy and do not visit doctors, only once a year for an annual exam. I am doing it for 20 years and always went to Labcorp no matter where in the country I am. Scheduled appointment on-line. Walked in the completely empty room. The woman at the counter told me they could not do the test because the doctor signed it last year and marked up "due next year". She said "doctor should not sign it - its past due". Signature without date? I never heard such a nonsense. She even called her "boss" and confirmed that they do not accept orders signed last year. This woman and her boss must be fired and the place closed. GO OUT OF BUSINESS!!! OUT!!!

Rude woman works at LabCorb in Cary

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
My doctor sends me down the hall to labcorb for my blood work. I always make an appointment. The woman who works there does both your appointment and draws your blood. She is rude and inpatient. She doesn't acknowledge people or give you a time frame if it is busy. (many of us are running in before work) I am seen fairly quickly with my appointment, but I have seen people sitting there a long time! Make an appointment!! One time there was nobody there and I waited 15 minutes. I finally went "anyone here?" and she came out a few minutes later and yelled at me for bothering her while she was "with someone" I guess I have to be a mind reader? Why don't they put out a note or a bell to ring or even a sign up sheet! There is nothing. Her blood drawing skills are ok, I have my blood drawn so much it doesn't bother me, but I hate to see how she would be with someone nervous or a child.

Payment withdrawl from account resulted in overdraft fee

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
My daughter of 20 unknowingly signed a form giving them access to withdrawal the charges after insurance from her account. 1st, contrary to what LabCorp support line said, my daughter was NOT give the option to sign this form. LabCorp, may have a stated corporate policy and an unstated field policy. 2nd, what LabCorp did NO ONE would or should allow to happen. Freedom to withdrawal any amount at any time w/out prior notice to the account holder. LabCorp had no meaningful response to my complaint and refused to compensate my daughter for the $36 overdraft fees. BBB hear I come.
