When I go to get blood work I make an apt. So that I can I take care of things in a timely manner. If the receptionist cant multi task successfully & accurately then they shouldn't be at that position. After +1hour past my apt. Time i'm given excuses when I ask sbout it. Then im called later & told my name had been called an hour sgo which it hadnt but she had logged it so. Then when she processes me it is incorrect & had I not said domething to the technician. I would have gone to my Dr. Apt. next week & Not have had the necessary bloodwork. Totally unacceptable.

LabCorp in Tempe, Arizona - Employees hate it here

Arrived at 7:50 for my 8:00 appointment. The guy at the counter was "busy" on the computer and told me to sign in. I signed in. After waiting 50 minutes and the guy behind the counter saying "come on down" with a strange tone to the next customers many times. I inquired about my appointment to one of two women behind the counter. They were both in on the game judging by their attitude and tortured facial expressions. I signed in on the wrong clipboard, the one that wasn't there when signing in. Ended up going elsewhere because 3 out of 3 were sick with attitudes.

LabCorp in Delray Beach, Florida - Lapcorp male associate disrespectful treatment and rudeness with elderly patients

The male associate at 16205 N. Military Trail, Delray,Beach, FL 33484 was extremely rude and disrespectful with elderly patients who were asking about their appointments due to the unorganized way he (the associate) was calling patients to be assisted. He said to them in a loud voice and screamingat them that they had lost their appointments when in fact they have been waiting for more than one hour. By reading the uncountable complaints pleased for the same abuses I can conclude that Lapcorp do not care about its customers and much less about its customers. Let’s look for other alternatives.

June 8, 2015 Hi, I had a 12:45PM appointment today at the Labcorp at 9750 NW 33rd Street Coral Springs, FL 33065 I showed up at 12:15 PM; 30 minutes early. No one saw me until 1:20 PM. I was skipped over by numerous patients that had appointments after my time and by others that did not have appointments at all. Going down the elevator afterwards, a gentleman commented to me that he too was skipped over and that he had to wait for over an hour. There were probably 12 to 14 persons waiting when I walked in. During my wait I noticed a number of patients going up to the front desk asking why the delay. The only answer I overheard was: “We are running behind.” After waiting 30 minutes at 1:15PM I asked the receptionist why I was been delayed for so long as I had an appointment and the paperwork to show her. I was told that my name has already been marked on by a yellow line and my blood was already taken. Imagine my surprise. I asked the receptionist that I wanted to speak to the office manager. I was told that she was the office manager. I asked for her name. I was given Danielle. Then I had to ask again for her last name. I was told it was Harris. MS Harris and I looked at the Sigh In sheet and under Office Use the time of 12:20 was entered by an employee under her guidance. I asked who wrote in that time. “I do not know.” was the reply. My name was crossed off with a yellow marker. Along with the name of a patient that had a 1:00 PM appointment. I asked who crossed off my name. Same answer: “I do not know.” I asked if she could she find out who wrote the time down and crossed out my name. I was told that she could not do that. “Why?” I asked, as she was the Office Manager and I thought that she would love to learn which of her employees was screwing up so badly. I told MS Harris I was only asking for an apology from the person who made the mistakes. Again, she refused to go in the back and ask her employees who wrote down the time and crossed out my name. Need I inform you all that a good manager tries to identify problems / issues immediately and then retrains the culprit as soon as a problem is recognized? And sometimes have that employee apologize to the person that she affected. Then MS Harris apologized to me. I informed her that her apologize meant nothing as she had done nothing wrong. Again I asked her to find out who made the mistake, so she could find out who made the mistakes. Again she refused. I said: “So you have noticed two mistakes and you have no interest in finding out the person working for you who made the mistake?” This type of dialog went on for a few minutes. Then MS Harris said: “I made the mistakes. I wrote down the time. I crossed off your name in yellow.” Which we both knew was not true. Which infuriated me. I have been a manager and when one of my employees ever made a mistake, I found out who it was, asked about the circumstances, to see if they were poorly trained and then have that employee apologize, either in person or by a letter. A parent teaches a 4 year old to say: “I am sorry.” to the person she / he had done something wrong to. That is a most simple way for the child to learn. But to this minute MS Harris has no idea which of her employee(s) that are continuously messing up. She has shown no desire to retrain her employees the correct procedures. She already knows that my insurance company will pay Labcorp. So her salary will be fine. She already knows that Labcorp does not offer a Customer Service telephone number on its web site for clients who need to inform higher ups at corporate headquarters of total screw ups. Especially when it deals with blood tests!!!! But it clearly appears that Labcorp has not head office procedures to properly handle problems at their numerous offices. And why should they? Looking up on Yahoo Finance, the top five executives earn from $558,000.00 to $2,640,000.00 a year. And of course all men! They have no interest in any problems that they can easily resolve. Their biggest concerns are how many options they will be granted every year! Why can’t Labcorp, at all levels act properly? MS Harris’ fake apology by lying that she wrote down the time and crossed my name off was most terrible. She did not apologize on behalf of Labcorp. She did not apologize as the office manager and by saying: “Mr. XXXXXXXX, I apologize on behalf of my staff. Mistakes were made. I will personally correct them now.” As stated earlier another patient told me as we entered the elevator together that he was also skipped over and he had to wait over an hour. Two huge sets of clerical mistakes in just one hour? Her fake apology was just to get me done with and out of her office. Why are Labcorp employees who are trained to draw blood also have the responsibility of write down times and cross out names? They should have no responsibilities in these areas. They should verbally inform MS Harris that they had completed Mr. XXXXXXXX’s work. Then maybe the little bird in MS Harris’ brain would think: “HEY!!!! I never processed Mr. XXXXXXX’s paper work? How can that be?” And why were these ill-informed and ill trained employees not trained to write down their initials every time they touch that Sign In sheet? Which they should have been trained in the first place. I just called the corporate offices and talked to a MS Sarah in Customer Service. Now she acted most professionally to me. She took down my information and stated that the Office Manager will call me and apologize for what took place today. I informed MS Sarah I do not care for nor desire to talk to MS Harris again. She had already lied to me a couple of times and that I request an executive at the Burlington, NC headquarters investigate ALL aspects of the procedures and training aspects at the Coral Spring, FL office and get back to me by letter. That should not be all that hard to achieve. Right? RIGHT!!! The gentleman on the elevator and I talked that we have no confidence that our blood tests will be properly identified at all. Thank You, XXXXXXXXXXXX
